Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!  I look forward to working hard and hopefully experiencing many successful musical moments.

Students - thank you for sharing the wonderful musical talents with which God has blessed you.  Parents - your support of your students and of me and the program is sincerely appreciated.


  • We will play for volleyball on September 18 @ 6:45pm. (NO pep band on Sept. 27)
  • Hall of Fame Performance has been changed to Saturday, November 10, 7:30pm at Ramkota.  (No performance on Oct. 23)

BAND T-SHIRT ORDERS ARE DUE BY THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13.  The purchase of a band t-shirt is optional.  However, TAKE NOTE: on future performance days, the students are allowed to wear only this shirt (not shirts from previous years) with uniform bottoms as their school uniform.

A graduate of Hoven High School and Northern State University, Kimberly Carda has been the director of bands at Aberdeen Roncalli since 1997.  Her responsibilities include directing the HS/JH marching and pep bands, the HS concert and jazz bands, and the JH concert band, teaching all brass and percussion lessons for students in grades 5-12, and accompanying many of her students at contests.  She has had the honor of having students selected for Middle School All-State Band, All-State Band, and All-State Jazz Band.  Kimberly is a member of the SDBA, Phi Beta Mu, NCBA, NFIMA and NCEA.  She is married and has three daughters.
